ORdős Problems is intended to be a repository of hard, unsolved, research-level problems in Operations Research, Computer Science, Economics, and Applied Probability.
The ideal problem here has a relatively clean and parsimonious model, but something fundamental is still missing: the guarantees are not tight, a well-formed conjecture remains open, an algorithm is missing, or the right structural characterization is unknown.
This is not primarily a collection of open-ended modelling questions. Modelling problems are important, but it is often unclear what the “right” model should be. The goal here is narrower: concrete hard questions whose resolution could plausibly appear in strong conferences or journals. More open-ended research problems may be added in the future.
Contributions are welcome: new problems, corrections, better citations, more context, clearer exposition, improved known-results summaries, and suggestions about scope or organization. Use the Contribute button to send a structured submission, or email ordos.problems@gmail.com.
